Hi, finally received a reply from the DCSF. Link to previous post below if you didnt see the previous entry regarding the unhelpfulness of the DCSF. The bit about them is at the bottom of the post.

Dear Mr Fouracre

Thank you for your email dated 11 February asking to include a link on the teachernet site to your material relating to anti violence/alcohol awareness for use in citizenship.

Teachernet was developed by the Department for Children, Schools and Families as a resource to support the education profession.

In our previous correspondence with you we have outlined the Department's stance on endorsement, or promotion of specific resources or activities for use in schools, and the purpose of this Department.

I have passed your comments onto the relevant policy team, who have confirmed that they are unable to promote your material. As such, we are unable to pass this information onto the teachernet team for inclusion on the site.

I realise this must be frustrating, and that it is indeed time consuming to contact individual schools and Local Authorities with your ideas. However, because schools and Local Authorities make the final decisions on the resources they use, then there is no alternative other than to direct you to them.

I am providing the link to the Association of Citizenship Teaching site, which you might find useful. Apologies if we have already directed you there in any previous correspondence:

Thank you for writing.

Regards

What a suprise, they cant help. I would just like to point out here that Teachernet contacted me a couple of weeks ago and have put a link on their website. I just do not understand these people. They are obviously spinning me a load of crap. I give up with the Government.
